PageQuilts is pleased to announce its participation in the One of A Kind Christmas Show, kicking off this November 22nd and running til December 2nd, 2007.

The One of A Kind Christmas Show and Sale is held in Toronto at the Direct Energy Center, Exhibition Place where over 600 talented artisans and designers from across Canada will gather. PageQuilts is located at Booth #X22 for all ten days of this high calibre arts exhibition. Artist Valerie Page, of PageQuilts.com, will be showing a new collection of her bespoke bed quilts, stunning wall hangings, fibonacci inspired designs, baby quilts for tykes, and designer pillows for a couch near you!

This is your last chance to feel the fabrics, scrutinize the stitching, fluff the pillow, test wrap a baby Quilt, or see a handmade right-in-the-Leslieville-area-of-Toronto quilt in person. In addition to her colourful bespoke quilts, Valerie will be introducing a new line of wall hangings to bring a little warmth into your life on those gloomy grey winter days.

Says Valerie, "quilt season begins when the first crimson leaf hits the ground, and a chill in the air keeps you under the covers a little longer each morning. Whether you hang a quilt on the wall to appreciate it's colour and texture, or snug baby in for the night with a quilt, it's a very intimate relationship. Every quilt I make is different, a vignette of a spring garden, a memory of old bricks and windows from King St., or an ode to the warmth and vibrancy of life."

Quilt Season Begins Under the Covers

Valerie's hand made quilts are conceived and created in her Leslieville area studio in the East end of Toronto. Leslieville is a vibrant neighbourhood anchored in a flourishing arts scene, and killer coffee spot called Mercury. Once you see a Valerie Page quilt in person, you fully understand the alluring vibrancy they possess. Such bespoke quilts offer respite from the dull mass produced garments sold by big box retailers from overseas factories.

Brimming with new artists, the One of a Kind Christmas Show and Sale is a yearly event with that's not to be missed. With a proud focus on home grown talent, One of a Kind brings together a diverse selection of creative talent and on-site child-friendly perks. Quality, and creativity have made it the destination shopping event since 1979. PageQuilts looks forward to seeing you there!
